One thing ends, another starts
This is my first album, on which I started working during the summer of 2017. I kept working during 2018, learning about music production and EDM in general. The first song I started working on was Fighting, creating, growing. You will see a big change in that song around minute 2:20, a second part which I developed during the summer of 2018. I must thank Mr. Francis Brosnan for helping me with the naming and the fantasy narrative behind the album which knits a small history running along with the songs, that's a piece of art by itself.
Start of a journey, leaving past behind
I was looking for answers. Answers that I did know will never come. These things happen --they say. Ugh, sure. Having lost everything, I didn't see it too bad to get rolled into that space marine mission to cross the galaxy portal to another world. To a different world.
New world, new rules
Years in an animated corporal suspension. Switched off, but not completely. This place gets into you. These people, Nauhractins, as they call them, are causing us lot of trouble, but yesterday, I got to know her.
Challenging you and unlearning
I'm ready. I'll do what ever it takes to protect this place, her place, our place. I've never feel so full of life, ready for everything and anything. Now is my time and turn.
Fighting, creating, growing
Now everything is confusing and at the same time crystal clear. It seems to me I have been here all my life. Soon or later we all have to fight our fears, a strong and fearful master that always awaits for you to reach your full potential.
Orbiting a distant sun
Completeness, calm, the feel of not needing anything more. I'm floating around a distinct Sun, now, our Sun for me and my people.

Follow @patchfunkMy non-artistic name is Miguel Ángel Ajo, I live in Madrid and I was born in 1980. I have a degree in Computer Engineering, and I love Music, Software, and Electronics in general.
I liked music since I was a kid, my parents always had an interesting record for me to listen (I still keep them) from rock to clasical music, from pop to flamenco, but nothing could beat a record from Tangerine Dream, Andreas Vollenweider, Kraftwerk, Mike Oldfield, Pink Floyd, Jean Michel Jarre, Vangelis, and many others.
Then the 90's came, with the Spanish electronic music scene playing in the radio (times of Chimo Bayo and friends hehe) :-), at that time, I had an Amiga 500 computer, and I loved to play with MOD music trackers, Sonix, and a Perfect Sound digitizer my father bought. I had little training in music (beyond basic school), and the things I made are luckily lost although I'd love to hear them now...
During my university degree I joined the IDIM association that had a very small studio, there I tried to learn playing guitar, but never got anywhere :-). I was also part of a demoscene group, (god's maze) but I wrote code, not music.
I never stopped listening music *all the time*, but it took me a long time to get back to it. In 2013 I got a digital piano and learned on my own. On 2015-2016 I started taking piano classes as an adult, and learning as much as I could about music theory. Then on my own, about music production, LogicX, modern audio synthetizers. By 2017 I started composing, andbBy the end of 2018 I told my wife (to her surprise): "I'm going to release an EP", and so I did.
